3 Nephi 1-6, 20-26 "The Savior Jesus Christ visits the American Continent

“Ye Are the Children of the Covenant”

Sharing Time – We can spend the whole time on this.

September 16-22, 3 Nephi 1-7 “Lift Up Your Head and Be of Good Cheer.”

The announcement of the birth, death and visit in America of Jesus Christ

Becoming converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ requires patience and effort.

Because of Jesus Christ, I can “be of good cheer.”

The Lord will fulfill all His words in His time.

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

When I exercise faith in Jesus Christ, I don’t need to fear.

September 23-29, 3 Nephi 8-11, “Arise and Come Forth Unto Me.”

Jesus Christ Appears to the righteous individuals left after the great destruction.

Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.

Jesus Christ is eager to forgive.

The Lord requires “a broken heart and a contrite spirit.”

I can learn to hear and understand God’s voice.

Jesus Christ invites me to gain a personal witness of Him.

September 30-October 6, 3 Nephi 12-16, “I Am the Law, and the Light.”

Jesus Christ teaches faith, repentance, baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, the

The Be Aptitudes, the Higher Law, Seek, Knock, and Receive.

I can be a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

Blessed are those who believe without seeing.

I can strive to purify the desires of my heart.

Heavenly Father will give me good things as I ask, seek, and knock.

October 7-13, 3 Nephi 17-19, “Behold My Joy is Full.”

Ponder Christ’s teachings, He heals, and prays, blesses children, institutes the

sacrament, more about baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and words understood

only by the heart.

The Savior is my perfect example of ministering.

The Savior taught me how to pray.

I can be filled with the Spirit as I take the sacrament.

I can “hold up” the light of Jesus Christ.

Disciples of Jesus Christ seek the gift of the Holy Ghost.

“37 Search these commandments, for they are true and faithful, and the prophecies and promises which are in them shall all be fulfilled. 38 What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.”

In the latter days, God will perform a marvelous work.

“30 And it shall come to pass that the time cometh, when the fulness of my gospel shall be preached unto them; 31 And they shall believe in me, that I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and shall pray unto the Father in my name. 32 Then shall their watchmen lift up their voice, and with the voice together shall they sing; for they shall see eye to eye.”

??? Who are the watchmen spoken of?

??? What evidence do you see that the Lord is now performing a “marvelous work.” [many evidences: growth of the Church, increasing work in temples, blessing to members of the Church.]

??? What would you say about your own record keeping?

??? What is the value and for whom is there value of our record keeping?

READ 3 Nephi 14:10-12

“10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house; and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the fields, saith the Lord of Hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed, for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of Hosts.”
